This year, we are searching for exceptional projects in the following categories:

As a judge, you will be involved in the following:

  1. Shortlisting - The jury process for you would be supported by a pre-selection team who will be able to pre-screen the larger volume of projects, meaning we would be able to provide you with a 20-40 project maximum (depending on project category and sub-category).
  2. Finalists - It would then be up to you to select the top 5 projects in each category/sub-category.
  3. Winners - During the larger jury convening, you will present and lead the artform category and finalists working together with the other category jurors all of whom are industry leaders like yourself (once confirmations are received we would share the full jury details with other jurors).
  4. Comms - Should you accept, we'd ask for a short bio, profile image, and social media links for our launch campaign as jurors to the award.
  5. Opportunities - Should you be in Johannesburg during the Festival (26 September - 1 October 2023), you will have all-access to our festival as well as special access and the ability to present the awards for your category during the Awards Ceremony. Depending on links to various country embassies and aligned organizations, we would also endeavor to make motivations for your physical joining of the event.

Please note that the application/adjudication period/timeline will be as per below.
